I posted a link about a banned XBox commerical a little while ago. Basically it was the one where a bunch of people shot each other with thier ‘guns’. Now it appears that video enspired a bunch of students at the University of Florida. They recreated the scene with 100 people in the middle of the University! Ok ok,it’s not an exact recreation, but take a look anyways.

So with all the craze around the new Core Duo Macs, many people are wondering just how much faster the new Intel iMacs really are. Well, lets see. First off, the old high end G5 iMacs ran at 2.1GHz on a G5 PowerPC progessor, single core. The new Intel Core Duo iMacs are running 2×2.0GHz Intel x86 processors. By those numbers, the new Core Duo seems to have the edge. Lower clock speed but twice the processors, so logically its faster. Just how much faster? Well, I just received this nifty little video in my inbox displaying just that.

So, the new Core Duo just booted up quite a bit faster then the old G5s. Now I know that shows nothing about the real speed of the 2 Macs, but really, thats quite a difference there. I’d like to hope the rest of the computer mimiks those behavours.

When you were a kid, did you even run around with you’re hands in the shape of a gun and pretend to be James Bond? Well, maybe not James Bond unless you too grew up with Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo64, but it really could be anyone. I remember that I did. I would pretend to be all stealth, hunting down the dog. Then when the time was right I’d shoot her good! Usually the dog turned around and barked at me, she really doesn’t like guns.
